Privacy
Short version: the drinking check never sends your answers anywhere, there are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site, and I will never sell or share anything about you with anybody.
The check runs entirely in your browser
When you take the honest check, your answers are held in your own browser and are used to work out your result there. They are not sent to me, they are not sent to a server, they are not put in a web address, and they are not written into any log. If you close the tab they are gone.
This is deliberate, and it is why the check needs JavaScript. Information that says something about a person's drinking is health information. Under the GDPR it is a special category of personal data, and the safest way to handle it is not to receive it at all.
The check saves your progress in your browser's local storage so that a refresh doesn't wipe your answers. That never leaves your device, and it is cleared as soon as you reach your result.
No advertising, no tracking, no session recording
There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta pixel, no advertising or remarketing tag, and no session recording tool anywhere on this site. There are no cookies set for tracking, which is why you are not being asked to accept any. Nothing about what you read here is shared with an advertising platform, ever.
What is recorded
- Server logs. The web server records the pages requested, the time, the browser type and the IP address, in the ordinary way every web server does. This is used to keep the site running and secure, and the logs are rotated and deleted on the server's normal schedule.
- Google Search Console. Google reports which searches led to this site, in aggregate. It does not identify individuals and I cannot see who any visitor is.
If you contact me
If you message me on WhatsApp, WhatsApp holds that conversation under Meta's terms and I can read it, obviously, because it is a message to me. If you email me, my email provider holds it. If you book a call, Calendly holds the name, email and time you give it, so that the appointment can exist.
I keep whatever you tell me to myself. Sessions are not recorded. I keep only the notes I need to be useful to you next time, and if you ask me to delete everything I hold about you, I will and I'll confirm it.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or another place with similar rules, you have the right to ask what I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to me holding it. Email straightsoberlife@gmail.com and I'll deal with it myself. There is no form and no department.

This site and this coaching are for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and I don't work with people under 18.
