The honest check

Twelve questions, about three minutes.

This runs in your browser. I don't see your answers unless you choose to send them to me, and there is no email box in the way of your result. Nothing gets held hostage.

Two things before you start.

One: answer as if nobody will ever read it, because nobody will. You have already spent a long time managing what other people know. This is the one place where that costs you the result.

Two: this is not a medical test and it does not diagnose anything. It's twelve questions I wrote. They're shaped by the kinds of things a doctor asks (how much, how often, how hard is it to stop, what does your body do without it) but this is not a clinical instrument and I'm not a doctor. If you want a properly validated screening tool, ask a doctor about the AUDIT. What this can do is hand you back the number you've been rounding down.

You can stop at any point and nothing is saved anywhere I can see.

Rather just talk?
